ERIK SANNER

Erik integrates original computer programming, video projection and paintings into installations which are constantly changing - in effect, he treats painting as a time-based medium. His artistic interests merge traditional sports and video gaming, and he has an uncanny way of making aspects of our everyday lives singularly interesting and unique. His projects are often highly-interactive involving artists and non-artists, including the "Mr. Scratch-Off Project" a collaboration with scientist Venkatesh Mani, which explores the nature of chance in the physical world as well as our lives.

Erik has participated in numerous art fairs including Scope NYC, ArtHamptons and Art Palm Beach. His solo and collaborative work has been shown both nationally and internationally including at the Detroit Museum of New Art; the Kulturmollan, Lovestad, Sweden; LICHT FELD Gallery, Basel, Switzerland; and Carmichael gallery, Los Angeles, CA. His writing has been featured in The Huffington Post as well as in The Mantle.
